Eve is a licensed, direct entry midwife delivering babies in Utah at The Birth Center and for their clients' homebirths.

Eve is an English major turned midwife. Born and raised in Hockessin, Delaware, she had only ever wanted to be an English professor. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English at Brigham Young University. But then, as she says, "I caught midwifery and midwifery caught me." She trained as a student midwife at Bastyr University, and has worked in reputable birth center and home birth midwifery practices in Utah and Washington State.

Having witnessed hundreds of births at this point in her career, Eve considers birth to be her greatest, most humbling and inspiring teacher. She believes first and foremost that women should have freedom and choices in childbirth, and second, that birth is about families. While she feels daily gratitude for her rigorous and demanding midwifery training, she values the normalcy of pregnancy and birth, and treasures the many times when she can stand back and witness the remarkable strength of women and babies, having no need to meddle or intervene.

These two fantastic, skilled, amazing women delivered both of my babies at home, in birthing tubs. Awesome. I personally, highly recommend them if you are considering a homebirth or water birth in Utah!
